This webliography lists links to sites maintained by groups that want to teach about the environment, advocate for it, preserve it, or clean it up. These are thus mainly policy related links. Economics and the Environment
- Rocky Mountain Institute the creators of this site believe that it is possible to take care of the environment and still make a profit. There are articles on environmental economics and environmental issues at this site, as well as sections that address a variety of environmental problems.

Energy Conservation and Sustainable Living
- EPA Global Warming Site "With the Global Warming Site, we strive to present accurate information on the very broad issue of climate change and global warming in a way that is accessible and meaningful to all parts of society – communities, individuals, business, public officials and governments." The site includes: articles, datasets, tables, and bibliographies.
- Sustainable Energy Coalition The left, middle, and right sections of the site feature "news" articles about energy conservation and air pollution.
- The Heat is Online This site is about global warming, a phenomenon which the authors feel poses a clear and present danger. There are sections on the science behind global warming, complete with references, and sections on weather change and global warming related news.

Environmental Education
- Ecological Society of America "The Ecological Society of America (ESA) is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization of scientists founded in 1915 to: promote ecological science by improving communication among ecologists; raise the public's level of awareness of the importance of ecological science; increase the resources available for the conduct of ecological science; and ensure the appropriate use of ecological science in environmental decision making by enhancing communication between the ecological community and policy-makers." The site features articles, press releases, and educational materials.

- World Wide Web Library -- Sustainable Development "A comprehensive list of Internet sites dealing with sustainable development, including organizations, projects and activities, electronic journals, libraries, references and documents, databases, directories or metadatabases" This site has resources organized by topic wtih the newest additions at the top.

Environmental Studies by Region
- Amazon Conservation Team "The Amazon Conservation Team is based on a simple concept: by helping the rainforest peoples manage and protect their cultures, we can also help them manage and protect the forest ecosystems that surround and sustain them." There are full text articles two clicks beyond "News from the Field." The publications section sells books and other places on the site ask for money, but there is much to read without having to pay a cent.
- Arctic Circle Links to sites and articles about: sustainable development, wildlife preservation, environmental policy, and the peoples who live in the region above the sixty-sixth parallel.
- Primal Nature "The site is an expansion of and a replacement for the web site www.old-growth.org and the Eastern Old-Growth Clearinghouse which were devoted to old growth forest in eastern North America. It will continue to present news of eastern old growth but will add coverage of other types of ecosystems in the same geographic area."

Wildlife Conservation
- Center for Biological Diversity Three columns of links to articles on a variety of aspects of conservation and conservation law. The newsletters on the left are PDF files that require Adobe Acrobat and the "Late Breaking News" on the right contains articles of the most general interest.
- Endangered Species Habitat Conservation Program "Protecting endangered and threatened species and restoring them to a secure status in the wild is the primary objective of the endangered species program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service." Includes articles on endangered species and on the laws that govern their preservation.
- NOAA - Fisheries The site features articles on coral reef conservation, marine mammal preservation, and links to an assortment of marine conservation and biodiversity related treaties.
- UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Center Features articles and program descriptions that cover forest preservation, freshwater conservation, and endangered species. The "publications" are descriptions intended to sell books rather than partial or complete full text.
- US Fish and Wildlife Service This site features information on endangered species, hunting and fishing licenses (via links to state agencies), importing exotic species, bird banding, a "kids' corner," and even a jobs section.
