If you are enrolled in an off-campus CSU distance learning course or outreach course, you need to know about the following library tools, materials, and services which will aid you in obtaining the necessary information resources to support your coursework:

• GALILEO, the University System of Georgia's premier collection of over 100 electronic databases, some of which include full-text journal articles
  
  
• The GALILEO password for remote access to GALILEO
  
  
• GIL, CSU's online catalog
  
  
• GIL Universal Catalog, a joint catalog for all University System of Georgia schools. Use this to request books owned at any USG library.
  
  
• Copies of articles from over 1000 journals owned by CSU libraries mailed or faxed directly to you
  
  
• Books from the CSU libraries collection of a quarter of a million volumes mailed directly to you
  
  
• Interlibrary loan of books not owned by CSU or other USG libraries and journal articles not owned by CSU libraries
  
  
• Ask a reference question online
  
  
• Consultation with a subject specialist in your field of study for more complex research assistance
  
  
• Ask general questions about resources for CSU distance learners
