It was February of 1995 when Cecil Darby, Earl Gibson, Herbert Greene, Jimmy Griggs and John Roper met at a McDonald's store in Phenix City, Al., to discuss setting a deadline on the dream to create what became the Columbus State University Athletic Hall of Fame.
