In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Israel the library has contracted for a very special display. The display features the photographs of Yoshi Hashimoto. Hashimoto, born and raised in Japan, has made several trips to Israel and has produced two series of photographs. The first, Love Shalom, is featured in this display. This series of photographs is a look at the spiritual and military sides of everyday Israeli life. The second, Kibbutz Massada, features the everyday life and work of the men and women living in the kibbutzes of modern Israel. Photographs are available for purchase. In addition to the works of Hashimoto, we also have displays featuring artworks from the Jewish Museum, views of modern Jerusalem, and other Judaica. And, of course, we have pulled together a small collection of books from our collection which are available to be checked out to members of the CSU community.
