Food, Drink & Tobacco Policy
- Food is not allowed in the Schwob Library.
- Beverages in sturdy, covered, non-disposable, spill-proof/resistant containers will be allowed, except in Drink-Free Zones.
- Approved containers include: plastic bottles with screw tops, commuter/travel mugs, sports bottles.
- Banned containers include: disposable plastic, cardboard or styrofoam cups; aluminum cans; glass bottles; juice or milk cartons; any open container.
- Drink-Free Zones include: ETC Computer Lab, ETC Listening Stations, Computers in the Information Services (i.e., "Reference") area, Photocopy areas (including Microform Reader/Printers), Microfilm/fiche reader areas, Archives.
- Any beverage in a non-compliant container must be stored in a book bag, discarded or left for retrieval at the Circulation Desk.
- Alcohol and the use of tobacco products are not permitted in the Library.
Patrons who do not comply with the Library's policy on Food, Drink & Tobacco will be asked to leave the library. Non-cooperation may result in suspension of library privileges. Please notify a staff member about any accidental spills to ensure prompt clean up. Realize that you may be liable for the damage/replacement fee for library materials damaged by your spills.
Please help us preserve the collections and furnishings of the Schwob Library for future generations of CSU students and faculty.
