Mission Statement
The Systems Department supports the Columbus State University Libraries' mission by managing the Libraries' computer hardware, computer software, and electronic resources; maintaining the Libraries' web site; and serving as the technology resource for the Libraries and the liaison to the University Information and Technology Services (UITS) Department.

Activities
- Assist library staff and patrons with computer hardware and software issues
- Design and run custom Voyager/GIL reports
- Develop and maintain the Libraries' web sites
- Evaluate and recommend purchases for computer furniture, hardware and software
- Plan and implement library technology
- Maintain library computer hardware
- Maintain usage statistics for electronic resources
- Manage access to electronic databases and journal subscriptions via GALILEO and EZProxy
- Evaluate book multimedia licenses
- Serve as the local systems administrator for Voyager/GIL, ILLiad, and Ariel software
- Submit work orders to UITS
