Microfiche & Microfilm

Several Microfiche Collections are located in the reference area. These include the ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) microfiche of documents in the education field and the LAC (Library of American Civilization) microfiche of American magazines and books published through 1914. Other microfiche collections in the reference area include Crime and Juvenile Delinquency, the Afro-American Rare Book Collection, Value Line Investment Guide, Historic American Buildings Survey, curriculum guides, annual reports, and college catalogs.

Many periodical back issues are available in the Microfilm Collection. The microfilms are located in the reference area of the library. Most microfilms are organized alphabetically by title and chronologically within each title. The New York Times, Times Educational Supplement, Times Literary Supplement, Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, London Times , Atlanta Journal, Barrons, Christian Science Monitor, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Harris County Newspapers are stored in cabinets near the microfilm room. The U.S. Census is also available on microfilm in this area.

Microform readers and reader/printers are available in the Information Services and ETC areas of the library.
